Hello language learners! My name Matthew Gridley and I am a native English speaking CELTA certified English language teacher from Canada. I have a B.A. in English literature, a Bachelor of Education, and over 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Specifically, I have taught English speaking, grammar, writing, and IELTS (both levels) test preparation for more than 5 years.

Based on this experience, I have a unique knowledge of the needs of language learners. For example, I know how hard pronouncing the proper vowel stresses, syllables, and ‘r’ and ‘l’ sounds can be. I know how difficult not pronouncing a natural ‘e’ before an ‘s’ or the final ‘e’ in a word can be. I am ready and equipped to help you achieve your language goals whether they are academic or practical.
