Slang and Idioms!

Howdy to all you curious readers!

Today, we will look at 5 slang terms/idioms. I will write them below, and then you try to match them with their meaning. I'll put the answers at the very bottom of this post. Enjoy!

Terms

1) To be lit (adj.)
- "I was so lit at the party last night!"

2) To chill (verb)
- "I'm just going to stay home and chill this weekend."

3) To be cheezy (adj.)
- "Dad! That is so cheezy..."

4) To freak out (verb)
- "That car accident really freaked me out!" OR "On Halloween, I'm going to freak out!"

5) To be back on track (idiom)
- "I was spending too much time at the bar, but now I'm going to school again. I'm back on track!"

Definitions

a) To return to normal after a time of abnormality (not normal)

b) To be scared/To allow your real personality to show

c) To be very excited/drunk/high (on drugs)

d) A joke that is not funny (or a little funny) because it is used too often or is too stupid

e) To relax
